On Friday, May 16, Technomic will help welcome restaurant industry executives to Chicago for a one-day, insights-packed conference developed by fast-casual leaders, for fast-casual leaders.
The Fast Casual 2014 Trends & Directions Conference is presented by the National Restaurant Association and Technomic. This operator-led event, taking place at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, will feature presentations and panel discussions on such hot industry topics as social media, menu innovation and technology trends.
From whom can attendees look forward to hearing? McAlister’s Deli CEO Frank Paci, Panera Bread Executive Vice President and Chief Concept & Innovation Officer Scott Davis and Wow Bao Executive Vice President Geoff Alexander, among others.
In addition, the NRA’s Sam Stanovich, Digital CoCo’s Paul Barron and I will offer data and insights on the state of the fast-casual market, and NFL Hall of Famer and former Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Raiders running back Marcus Allen will deliver a special address.
The day’s educational programming will be sandwiched by a morning tour of Eataly—Chicago’s 63,000-square-foot Italian foods marketplace, backed by partners including chef Mario Batali and featuring 23 on-site eateries—and a cocktail reception at the Ritz-Carlton from 5 to 7 p.m. Ample networking opportunities will be provided throughout the day.
Attendees will leave the conference with an executive summary report and a binder containing key takeaways from the presentations. Armed with this actionable information, fast-casual leaders will be better able to help drive their brands forward in foodservice’s extremely competitive operator environment.
The Fast Casual Trends & Directions Conference is one of my favorite events—it’s a fantastic opportunity for operators to get a comprehensive view of a rapidly evolving restaurant segment and hear stories from the trenches from some of the top names in the fast-casual industry. And because of the conference’s operator focus and by-invitation guest list of C-level executives, we’re able to efficiently deliver the most relevant information for attendees.
